The president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), José Salvador Fuentes Zorita, visited, with the mayor of Ceuta, Manuel González, the deeds of the new connection between Station Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the raft regulation of irrigation.
The project was approved by the Council of Ministers as emergency work and an investment of 814,052 euros.
The connection of the WWTP with the raft of inheriting from Ceuta, with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters and whose management has been transferred to the City, includes the construction of a pumping and power line medium voltage, a transformer and a pipe, and the subsequent upgrading of roads and access.
This will achieve cost savings and improved flow of purified water management assigned to these irrigators.
The works have been awarded to the company Aquagest.
In addition, the CHS has invested 483,834 euros in 2007 in connection with the raft of regulation Alguazas ditch, which distributes the stored water to irrigators Alguazas and Ceuta.
Both works present a budget for this effort irrigation community has better ways to store and optimally distribute the available water.
