Councilman IU + Greens in Ceuta, Mariano Cano, today criticized the town council to approve the July plenary purchase a sculpture valued at 18,000 euros and said this acquisition is a "waste" in the current economic context .
Cano said the sculpture, by artist Charles Hurdle, will be placed in the environment of the local Church, which, he said, "do not understand why he retired a few months ago a figure of the sculptor Pepe Yagues to place it outside" .
He noted that the purchase of the sculpture was approved with the vote for PP, which claimed that it was a donation and the cost is the result of melting, and PSOE, who argued that the acquisition of the work would enhance the outdoor museum.
He also criticized the council approve the allocation from one diet to the spokespersons of political parties amounting to EUR 150 for attendance at plenary and commission 100 euros for information.
Cano abstained in that vote because the city spokesman of the PSOE, Manuel Gonzalez, is assigned a monthly salary of 3,750 euros, 45,000 monthly "to do the same work that the UI + Greens", except that it is in a condition of release.
