The refurbishment of the offices of Local police station and the Plaza Nueva in Ceutí involves an investment of 254,184 euros, of which the Autonomous Community has contributed 213,782 euros, said today the CEO of Local Government, Javier Iniesta, at the opening of these municipal infrastructure.
The works in the offices of the Local Police, located in City Hall, consisted of an interior renovation of 161 square meters of the police station, they now have a reception, meeting room, three offices and a cell , among other services.
The budget execution has been 115,358 euros, 100,000 euros of which were funded by the Directorate General of Local Government.
Iniesta, who was accompanied by the mayor of the town, Pascual Lorente, noted "that the works undertaken will allow the 19 police officers have Ceutí Local facilities more comfortable and suitable for the development of their tasks, especially those requiring direct attention to the citizen. "
The Regional Public Safety Plan has been for the city of Ceuta to double its police precincts, with the addition of ten new players, nine of whom are already doing their actual work in the SHU.

Improvement areas
Improvement works of the Plaza Nueva in Ceuta have included the renovation of potable water networks, public lighting in the underground telephone lines and low voltage, and the paving of streets and removal of steps on the sidewalks to facilitate access for the disabled and people with reduced mobility.

Work on the Plaza Nueva has cost 138,826 euros, of which 113,782 euros were contributed by the region and 25,043 euros by the City.
Works and Services Plan
Reverte explained that this action is part of the Plan Works and Services of the Autonomous Region for municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants and noted that in 2008, the Presidential and Public Administration, among others, funded in the municipalities of the Region 167 performances by an amount of 15.6 million euros.
The Minister recalled the Government's investment efforts in the municipalities of the Region, this will focus on the special Plan Basic Municipal Infrastructure and Local Cooperation Plan.
He also recalled being explored new areas of collaboration to help municipal councils to finance its expenditure and additional resources.
