The Socialist Party deputy general secretary of the Region of Murcia (PSRM-PSOE) and deputy spokesman of the Socialist Group in the Regional Assembly, José Ramón Jara, died this morning in Ceuta, his hometown, and he and his family, after a brief and painful illness.
José Ramón Jara Vera was 45, was married to Maria Asuncion Lopez Molina, and a daughter.
Doctor in Chemistry at the University of Murcia, had an extensive resume as a researcher and specialist in Management and Strategic Management of Universities.
Officer of the Autonomous Region since 1991, he held various positions in the Ministry of Agriculture, until in 1997 he became manager of Campus Universitario de Albacete, and in 2004 was director of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Government Delegation in the Community Murcia.
José Ramón Jara was a member of the Young Socialists from 1976 to 1993, where he was the Deputy Secretary General and the Presidency.
PSRM-PSOE militant since 1981, was Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Ceuta from 1987 to May 28, 1995.
He was also secretary general of the Socialist Group of Ceuta.
In 2004 he was secretary of Municipal Policy and Coordination of Regional Executive Committee PSRM-PSOE since May 2007 and deputy to the Regional Assembly.
After the last Regional Congress PSRM-PSOE held the post of deputy secretary general.
The mortal remains of José Ramón Jara found in the morgue of Ceuta, and his funeral will be held tomorrow Friday, at 16:30 pm in the Parish Church of Santa Maria Magdalena de Ceuta.
