The Mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano, held a meeting in the local council with the new manager of the Bank of Sanitation and Wastewater Treatment of Murcia (ESAMUR), Jesus Artero director last Wednesday, September 30.

One of the topics discussed on the table was the possibility that the irrigation communities in the area use of treated water in industrial water treatment plant (WWTP) in the municipality for their irrigation works.
"We have confirmed that you can perform some work on this facility would allow these farmers will use part of the resulting water after treatment," said Cano, who anticipates that this work would be undertaken by the irrigators themselves, which have yet to study thoroughly this possibility.
In addition, Artero informed municipal representatives of Ceuta that was detected increased discharges of local companies that may jeopardize the operation of the WWTP.
