Upcoming November 25 and December 1 will be held in Ceuta traditional campaign to prevent breast cancer.
In it, more than 700 women from the city of between 50 and 69 years for them to be performed in a mobile mammography unit located near the local Consistory will be cited.
"Like every year, this campaign aims to fight this disease from the side of prevention, since early detection reduces mortality and increases the quality of life of sufferers," said the Councillor for Health, Francisco Vidal.
This campaign, which join forces once again the regional government, the ceutiense City Council and the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), celebrates its tenth edition in the municipality.
"Women of Ceuta receive a letter from the Ministry of Health inviting them to the tests done," explains Vidal, who notes that "breast cancer is more common in women, especially in the age between the 50 and 69, and the best prevention is early diagnosis. "
Since the local council invite women between 50 and 69 years with the municipality two years without a mammogram and who do not receive that letter to contact your health center or clinic to be summoned to these tests.
"The participation rate in our town usually always higher than the regional, indicating that our women are very aroused with this campaign," applauds the councilman.
