The City of Ceuta and hands is to work to put their two cents to the international crisis that affects Syrian refugees.
Therefore, on Friday September 11 the councilman of Social Services, Pura Hernandez, met in the Department of Family and Equal Opportunities with the owner, Thomas Violante, and other municipal representatives of the Region of Murcia.
A meeting raised by the regional government as the basis for resource inventory for the initial reception of refugees could reach the community.
According to preliminary calculations, the Region of Murcia could be 400 or 500 Syrians, to be shared by the municipalities according to criteria of population, unemployment and GDP of these.
A reception will be held in two phases: one, food, psychological and social assistance in the areas of Health, Education and Social Services are included, and the other, the integration into society.
"These are families who are fleeing from a war and nobody can doubt the solidarity and commitment of the people of Ceuta attitude with these people, so that all our Social Services department will be available to refugees arriving," said the mayor, that advances that will have access to health care, schooling of children or employment programs.
Also, Hernandez explained that the City will soon create a delegation comprising representatives of all municipal groups PP, PSOE, and change Ceutí- Citizens and local humanitarian organizations to monitor the participation of the Consistory in this work commission.
