In the evening on Friday 7 August the festivity of Ceuta lived one of the most important and expected by residents of the municipality quotations: the "Pasha of San Roque", which started from the Hermitage accompanied by hundreds of faithful who made the bright, traditional way to the Parish Church accompanied by brass bands and a Batukada.
New this year also a procession, carried by children, a small statue of the saint.
A day of the festivities in honor of San Roque and Santa Maria Magdalena which also featured a massive and refreshing "Festival of Water and Foam", in which children and young people was the main protagonist.
Saturday August 8, the day began in the morning with playgrounds, another "Water Festival" and sack race in the park Juan Carlos I. In the afternoon a fun "brick-throwing contest and greasy pole" has took place next to the "You and I" cafe, organized by the club "Drunk Aunt".
Later Mass was celebrated with a performance of the musical group Rondalla of Ceuta and the children's show "The show Drilo gang" at the Cultural Center.
The activity will move at night in the neighborhood of San Antonio, with a parade and a procession carrying at San Roque (21:30 pm), which will feature performances of the rock "El Tomate".
And at 22 am the Parque Juan Carlos I host the "Festival IV Got Talent", where the town amateur artists can demonstrate their different skills and abilities.
Full weekend
Since Sunday morning August 9th with a children's closure trimmers (11 hours) in the Town Hall Square opened the activities, which will continue with a Mass in which the Rondalla act of Ceuta (11.30 hours).
At noon in the park Juan Carlos I playgrounds that will have launch of olive stones and eggs (12 hours), while the afternoon Avenue Las Farolas is the place chosen for a ribbon race bike (19 hours ) that offer various prizes.
A ballroom dancing competition at the Home of the Pensioner (19.30 hours), a parade through the neighborhood of Carmen (20:30 pm) and a pilgrimage to San Roque on the streets of this neighborhood and the performance of the rock " Tomato "(21:30 pm) will complete the day.
Many proposals
After the weekend the festival program, which will run until Sunday 16 August-was directed towards her last week, proposing every day different activities, among which are the following: the performance of the local group Nancys Supreme (Wednesday 12 August);
the pigs in the mud and the eighties concert, with Oche Cortes, Toni Aniorte Beteta and Pepa (Friday, August 14);
the release of the heifer, the orchard Mass in the parish church, the procession of floats and troupe, Noche Latina and Agustín Aspa and his group Havana (Saturday 15 August);
the procession of the patterns, the performance of the Company Líorica Friends of the Zarzuela Abarán and the fireworks finale (Sunday 16 August).
And on September 6 the Rise of San Roque will be held early in the morning.
