The government team of the City of Ceuta, with its mayor Juan Felipe Cano at the head, wants to inform the pressures and threats that have come to their environment because of the use of animals in some events of the festivity in honor of 2015 San Roque and Santa Maria Magdalena.
"We are suffering intimidation and offensive by holding events such iconic and traditional in our celebrations such as the 'pigs in mud', which are a hallmark of our Party and our people," says Cano, who claims that one of the members of the Festival Committee has been harassed by Facebook (through private messages) by holding these activities.
"It is campaigning on social networks, evenly, which we believe can lead to possible riots during the celebration of these events," says the mayor, who notes that have already taken the appropriate steps to Government Delegation ensure security at these events in anticipation that the welfare of the residents of Ceuta can be altered.
Also, the team ceutiense government wants to convey his apologies to "Change Ceuta" political group which initially blamed the wrong way to encourage the campaign.
"It was all a misunderstanding and why it costs us admit our mistake," admits the mayor.
"It is clear that its position, although contrary to the conclusion of these acts so ingrained in our people, does not claim to support any action against these events beyond expected to change by others," says Cano.
