On Monday August 3rd were played at the Municipal Library of Ceuta competitions chess and checkers on the occasion of the festivity of the town in honor of San Roque and Santa Maria Magdalena.
They organized by the local council throughout the morning, they were played in both child and adult mode and the top two were awarded its trophy.
Thus, in the chess tournament winners they were Pascual and Pedro Jara (adults) and Vicente and Alvaro Nicolas Fulgencio (child), while the best ladies were Jose Antonio Gomez and Pascual (adults) and Alvaro Nicholas and Antonio Lorente (child ).
Some festivities will last until Sunday August 16, and in which not miss one of the most important events and expected by the residents of the municipality: the Pasha of San Roque, which will take place on Friday, August 7 (21:30 hours) from the Hermitage to the Parochial Church.
Many proposals
The festival program will propose every day different activities, among which are the following: the launch of the contest brick and greasy pole, and IV Got Talent Festival (Saturday August 8);
the ribbon race bike (Sunday 9 August);
the performance of the local group Nancys Supreme (Wednesday 12 August);
the pigs in the mud and the eighties concert, with Oche Cortes, Toni Aniorte Beteta and Pepa (Friday, August 14);
the release of the heifer, the orchard Mass in the parish church, the procession of floats and troupe, Noche Latina and Agustín Aspa and his group Havana (Saturday 15 August);
the procession of the patterns, the performance of the Company Líorica Friends of the Zarzuela Abarán and the fireworks finale (Sunday 16 August).
And on September 6 the Rise of San Roque will be held early in the morning.
