The sports pigeon "Menotti" owned by Jose Antonio Galián and raised in livestock Rafael Sanchez de Ceuta known locally as "Menotti" - the title was in the XV Championship of Autonomous Communities Spain played last Saturday, 2 May Fuente Alamo (Albacete).
The ceutiense pigeon, red plumage and three and a half years old, joined in this competition a total of 1,111 points, followed by "Mama Teta" (1095) owned by Pedro José Carrillo, also Ceutí- neighbor and "Substitute" (1,041).
The event, which attracted a large number of fans, held a fellowship meal where pigeon was felt everywhere.
In the afternoon it began the test, which was marked by good weather.
A historic achievement
"The Spanish Federation Colombicultura gives the breeder of the winner of this contest the award the 'Golden Mile'" said Rafael Sanchez, who shows his desire to donate the trophy to the City of Ceuta for the enjoyment of the people.
"In 80 years of history of the pigeon of Ceuta this achievement alone has achieved 'Menotti', which is the most successful in the history of our people and also very admired throughout the Spanish territory pigeon," says her breeder.
