The City of Ceuta, through its Department of Sports, held on Friday May 1st Race XXXV Pedrestre, which brought together about 400 athletes in the running of various categories.
From youngest to additional veterans they marched through the streets of the town, offering a great sporting spectacle that is tradition in Murcia land and is especially noted in the athletics calendar.
At the end of every race we proceeded to the awards ceremony, which was chaired by the local mayor, Juan Felipe Cano, and the Councillor for Sports, Jesus Hernandez.
"This is one of the races in our region's most authentic and are proud to see how year after year the participation is superb and brokers just delighted with this test," said Cano, who remembers that this event has no cost to the participants.
In senior male category the winner was Ivan Hernandez (Skechers Nogalte), assisted on the goal by Boumediene Rachdi and Alejandro Abellaneda, while in women the best was Paula Bonmatí, followed by Carmen Velasco and Maria de Mingo.

Children: Ana María Montiel and Adrian Abellán.
Cadet: Alarcón and Jose Maria Bravo.
Youth: Alicia Vazquez and Bilal Khadi.
Junior: Maria Jose Jimenez and Khalid Masski.
Promises: Belen Moreno and Miguel Molina.
Veterans 35: Petra Pascual and Jose Antonio Piñero.
Veterans 40: Ana Mari Jerónima Roque Torres.
Veterans 45: Charo and Fausto López Murcia.
Extra veterans: Maria Dolores Sanchez and Jesus Velasco.
