The City of Ceuta has now completed two phases of the refurbishment and renovation of the paving of several streets in the urban center of the municipality, which had an investment of EUR 102 430 funded by the regional government.
The initial stage affected the adjacent Old Town Square area, next to the parish church, specifically in Clavijo, Saplings, San Roque, Flags and Poet Medina streets.
"In these pathways was lifted stone pavement had to replace it with cobblestones, which is a less slippery surface that greater pedestrian safety is achieved," says Hernandez.
The second and final phase contemplated another series of similar works on the streets Francisco Rabal, Mallorca and Maestro Martinez.
In this way the natural stone was removed and replaced with cobblestone also support traffic while they repaired and improved water harvesting scuppers.
"These actions represent a major makeover of the central areas of our people, all for the benefit of the quality of life of our neighbors," the council Works and Services, Jesus Hernandez.
