The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities organized a theoretical-practical seminar which is organized yesterday until Saturday, the 11th, in downtown La Canning and involving experts from some of the best and most innovative centers art in Spain.
The objective of this seminar is to explore possibilities and draw links between the spaces of contemporary art and education.
The seminar 'Enable devices: museums, schools and stories, organized by the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts and the Directorate General of Educational Planning and Human Resources, the fact that arts education is a constantly changing area whose implementation is carried out by different agents do not always have the same goals, dynamic and methodologies.
Hence the need to explore new relationships between education and culture;
two disciplines that must go hand in hand.
The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, Marta Lopez-Briones, said that "from The Ministry promote this union within the initiative '+ Culture', and in this seminar brings together more than twenty professionals education and culture, between primary and secondary teachers and college students. "
Through the various activities will be offered to educators tools to the use of cultural resources as learning experiences.
Museum opportunities for teaching will be analyzed and will be announced innovative experiences that relate contemporary art practices with alternative teaching formats.
This educational activity of the ICA with the Centre for Language and Communication is coordinated by the Murcia artist and professor of Fine Arts at the University of Murcia, Clara Boj, who will also be in charge of talking to the audience about the 'Narratives of art and school 'and, together with Jordi Ferrero, the course concludes with practical design workshop educational projects.
The program
The seminar-workshop is structured around three axes: 'The exhibition as a story', focused on analyzing the curatorial proposals;
'The museum as a teaching device' and 'Narratives of art-school', where experiences and new projects will be presented.
Theoretical presentations borne by contemporary art professionals and art critic and curator Fontdevila Oriol;
ACVic director and promoter of the project i Art School, Ramon Parragon;
one of the members of the Museo de Palma Baluard, Irene Amengual educational team;
and artist and educator Ferrero Jordi, which develops educational activities for the MACBA.
Also, the talks will be accompanied by practical experiences that will discuss the process of creating a presentation and links to the proposals by artists and curators with the dynamics of the school.
