The Director General of EU and External Relations of the CARM, Carmen Sandoval, and the Mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano, presented this morning at the Municipal Auditorium, the "I, European citizen", on the occasion of the declaration of 2013 as "European Year of Citizens", aims to bring the European political institutions and the citizens of the region.
Organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and European Union, the campaign will travel to other municipalities throughout Murcia this year, during which various speakers will explain the meaning of being a European citizen and certain advantages of being integrated in a large political and economic community.
During the presentation involved the Councillor for Culture, Education and Youth, Ascension Nicholas and Teresa Allepuz, the Directorate General of the European Union and Foreign Affairs, CARM, who explained the contents of the program encompassed under the slogan "I, European citizen "Know Your Rights in the EU know.
The program continued with a few presentations by Rosario Sanmartin, the Employment and Training Service, on the EURES network, another on "Youth in Action" by Antonio Garcia.
DG Prevention of Violence Against Women, Youth, and Reform Legal protection of minors, CARM, and another on "European Projects developed in Ceutí", presented by the technician responsible for this council Isabel Serna.
A mobile classroom is set up next to City Hall to report Ceutí different EU-funded projects in municipalities of the Region of Murcia, with video projection on the European Union institutions and policies, and also provides information on the Europe Direct Network and Europe Direct Office Region of Murcia.
