The bulk of the festivities of Ceuta begin next Sunday with the San Roque pattern transfer from his hermitage on the outskirts of town, to the parish church of St. Mary Magdalene, leading to numerous popular calls culminating on 16 August.
The "Pasha of San Roque," as the pilgrimage is called, is a celebration of the saint under whose patronage was the town of Ceuta in the seventeenth century, when, faced with the plague that affected large population of Murcia, the May 30, 1648 vowed to "profess, defend and save your holiday forever."

A Mass is celebrated vegetable garden in the parish church at 11.30 the next day, accompanied by Peña Tomatoes, and at 19:00 the parade of floats part the street from La Tejera.
The day ends the day with a tasting of mojitos in the park Juan Carlos I, with salsa music.
