The secretary general and spokesperson of the PSOE of Ceutí, Sonia Almela, has denounced the "unfortunate" situation in which the river Segura is found as it passes through this municipality, and has once again claimed its cleanliness, in the face of the inaction of the City Council and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS).
According to Almela, the channel can not be seen from the road, due to the amount of canes and other materials that exist, which, in case of avenue, would cause the overflow, causing damage to the adjoining lands, as has already happened in several occasions, in addition to the impossibility of traveling through the river.
He explained that there are already four motions presented at the City Council, all approved by a majority, "although not thanks to the votes of the PP, and today they still do not see its fruits".
Almela recalled the floods that occurred in the area in 2015 and that in the last month there have been six fires caused by the lack of cleanliness.
"Our insistence will be constant, we have the regional support of our general secretary, Diego Conesa, who was able to see in situ a few weeks ago the situation in which we find ourselves," he stressed.
"And we also have the support of our national deputies, María González Veracruz and Pedro Saura, who have presented several initiatives in the Congress of Deputies demanding answers to a situation that must be resolved immediately," he concluded.
