The center of contemporary art La Conservera de Ceutí hosts until Sunday the activities of the Information Society Region of Murcia (Sicarm).
An itinerant event that in this edition has already gone through Blanca, Murcia and Beniel, and that will show the new technologies in different perspectives and present the latest advances in the sectors of information technology and telecommunications.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, said the importance of "bringing innovation, especially in the field of digital transformation, to the entire population with an event of this kind, which in this edition will visit about 10,000 people" .
The finance minister inaugurated this edition of Sicarm in Ceutí accompanied by the mayor of the town, Juan Felipe Cano, and by the general director of Heritage, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Juan José Almela.
The schedule of activities today and tomorrow Saturday is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Carrillo stressed that "the advances shown here are the latest, and have much to do with the professions of the future, in which we are working from the regional government to offer training."
Eight workshops
Sicarm proposes eight workshops on new technologies, among them, one that shows different electronic services of the Administration such as the citizen's portal, the previous appointment in the Murcian Health Service and the contents of portals such as www.regmurcia.com and www.cecarm .com.
It also incorporates an area on the safe and responsible use of ICT, a virtual reality space to discover the cultural and natural heritage of the Region, with the possibility of testing the latest mobile virtual reality devices and taking a selfie of 360 degrees, as well as try virtual reality glasses.
There is also a workshop on audiovisual techniques that includes dubbing, Chroma Key and motion capture through Kinect;
a space with last generation consoles;
an area of ​​educational robotics that will show how to build and program robots and fly last generation drones;
a zone of technology of impressesion and scanned in 3D, and a space of augmented reality that proposes a game of 'escape room'.
Sicarm is a set of technological events that have been held since 2001 annually in the Region.
Since 2002 the activities are organized in different municipalities (they have already passed through 28 locations).
More than 150,000 people have visited and participated in its activities since it was created.
It is managed by the Integra Foundation, under the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, and financed with funds from the Community and Feder.
