â— "We have managed to leave behind some extended accounts and approve useful investments for the neighbors", says the orange spokesperson, María Ángeles Martí
The municipal group of citizens has been able to introduce in the municipal budget for 2017, which was approved yesterday in plenary, games for the improvement of parks and gardens (24,000 euros), updating of the public lighting network (35,000), installation of cameras and improvement of the security of the municipality (18,000) and the acquisition of books for the Municipal Library (3,000).
According to her spokeswoman, María Ángeles Martí, "these expenses would be borne by the amendments approved in the budgets of the Autonomous Community thanks to the work of the Citizens' Deputies, which will generate income for the improvement of the sanitation network and Plan of Pluvial of Ceutí for value of 200,000 euros.
This work has been added by the municipal group, which has managed to adjust the expenses to have the means to undertake these much needed investments. "
These amendments, many of which are also the result of the work of the Parliamentary Group of Citizens, add investments of 280,000 euros "which are at the expense of the regional government fulfilling its commitment to Ceutí."
Martí highlighted the achievement of approving today's budget for the current year, "leaving behind accounts extended since 2015 that mortgage the future of our municipality.
In fact, we are also working to get the budgets of 2018 out as soon as possible, with a view to a useful policy that benefits the neighbors. "
In addition to the aforementioned items, the municipal group of Citizens has managed to get the budget to include the start-up of the Business Nursery and the Land Bank, as well as exceptional assistance for the José Luis Vives public school, which will mean an injection of 4,600 euros much needed for this center, "says Martí, who adds that these investments would not increase expenses:" Thanks to the work of Citizens, it has been achieved that seven of the nine investments foreseen in the municipal plan have a presence in the budget and become a reality.
If it were not for that work, these accounts would be little more than continuists, without initiatives by the government team, "explains the orange spokesperson.
For the spokeswoman of Citizens, "this is the way to go, that of the useful policies that end up having repercussion in the neighbors thanks to the dialogue, the agreement and the consensus".
Martí considers that the budgets "are after all a declaration of intentions, the roadmap for the future of the municipality.
In this case, it has become clear that Citizens are committed to education, self-employed, entrepreneurs, culture and, ultimately, neighbors. "
The spokeswoman stressed that "we are already working on the budgets of 2018, in order for our City Council to comply with budgets and accounting and be on the side of the achievers, with clear accounts and policy investments useful for neighbors".
