The Ministry of Culture and Spokesperson has organized several activities at the centers of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA) to celebrate the International Book Day.
The Cendeac, the Párraga Centre, the Film Archive of the region and canning host conferences, round tables, and a show of aerial choreography inspired by the character of 'Don Quixote'.
The general director of the ICA, Marta Lopez-Briones, explained that "the centers of ICA could not remain outside holding a as significant as the fourth centenary of the death of Cervantes and Shakespeare date. From the Department have organized a program in which the author of 'Don Quixote' will be very present, but where initiatives for the promotion of books related to contemporary art will also be included and other complementary to literature and cinema disciplines and performing arts will be addressed ".
22 and April 23 open days will be held at the Centro Parraga and Cendeac (10:00 to 20:00), located in the Old Quarter of Artillery of Murcia.
Attendees can purchase these days the books published in the collection of Cendeac with significant discounts as well as catalogs of exhibitions of contemporary art organized by the Ministry for 5 euros (up to ten copies).
