| Using a large knife, he entered the establishment, threatened a client and intimidated an employee | He struggled with an employee until he seized cash from the register and fled the scene The detainee has entered prison The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Plan Comercio Seguro', has developed an investigation to clarify a robbery with violence and intimidation committed in a supermarket in Ceutí, which has culminated in the identification, location and arrest, in less than 24 hours, of the alleged perpetrator who, after being brought to justice, has entered prison. The events took place on the afternoon of last Saturday, August 22, when an individual entered a supermarket in Ceutí brandishing a large knife. Inside the store, the author threatened a customer who was at the cash register and, subsequently, entered the counter area and intimidated the employee, placing the knife at his neck to force him to open the cash register.

After a brief but intense struggle, the robber stole much of the cash from the cash register and fled the scene. Civil Guard Citizen Security Prevention officers, after verifying the reported events, opened the corresponding investigation in order to collect all possible evidence about the author to clarify the crime. Thanks to the information provided by the victim and the witnesses to the violent robbery, as well as the data obtained from viewing the recordings of the security cameras of the establishment, the Civil Guard identified a resident of Ceutí, with an extensive criminal history that , presumably, he was behind the responsibility of the criminal act. Case resolved in less than 24 hours The search device established by the Benemérita on the suspect culminated just a few hours later with his location, in a house in the town where he was hidden, where he was arrested and brought to justice as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation. The 47-year-old Spanish detainee, a resident of Ceutí and with a history of similar crimes, along with the proceedings, has been placed at the disposal of the Molina de Segura Investigating Court, which has ordered the arrest of the arrested person.
