The new semi-trailers are equipped with the latest technology and intended for the "pharma", plants and food sectors

ESP Solutions (formerly La Espada), a global logistics solutions operator, has acquired 60 refrigerated semi-trailers that will reinforce the international expansion plans that the company will develop in this 2020 and that also contribute to the continuous modernization of the ESP fleet, one of the paradigms of your business activity.

The 60 frigos are equipped with multi-temperature technology, double floor, safety locks and are intended for strategic sectors in which the company displays its activity: pharma, food and plants.

The investment that ESP Solutions has allocated for the acquisition of these semi-trailers is 3.6 million euros and will facilitate the service to new customers, ensuring the quality and service to customers that La Espada already has today.

ESP has closed this operation with the German brand Krone and the trailers will be equipped with Carrier engines.

This new action of ESP Solutions is embedded in the strategy of continuous improvement of the fleet, initiated with the incorporation of 200 trucks (170 Renault and 26 Volvo) at the end of 2019, with which the company's resources already reach 600 vehicles having renewed at one time 33% of them.

All recently acquired trucks are in the Euro 6 category, which lowers the fleet's carbon footprint to unique sustainability standards in the sector.

Right now, La Espada's fleet has an emissions impact that represents only 5% of what existed a decade ago.

Krone trailers offer the highest quality and service to transport very sensitive medicines, fragile flowers or urgent frozen products.

In addition to the ideal and comfortable equipment, they have enormous flexibility.

Thanks to its efficient equipment such as the KRONE Isowall separating wall, various goods can also be transported without problems in different temperature zones.

Specifically, and complying with the German legislation for the transport of pharmaceutical products, these semi-trailers are certified by the company Pharmaserv GmbH & Co. KG and by the European Institute European Institute for Pharma Logistics GmbH.
