The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will complete the reconstruction of the pedestrian walkway of the road that connects Ceuta with Alguazas.
This action aims to increase the road safety of pedestrians and vehicles, and has a regional investment of more than 70,000 euros, in addition to the 24,000 euros involved in the first phase.
The action will consist of the construction of a section of sidewalk of 300 meters in length and a width of 2.8 meters, and also includes the renewal of public lighting, the replacement of existing irrigation network, new manholes and tree pits and the construction of new fords for access to adjacent plots.
The works will be carried out in the left margin of the Crossing 553-2.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Patricio Valverde, accompanied by the mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano, explained today, that this action on the road known as 'Alguazas road', is "absolutely necessary because currently this stretch does not have the conditions of adequate security, with the risk that implies ".
"For the regional government is very important to improve infrastructure and especially road safety," said the counselor.
The Ministry and the City Council have signed a collaboration agreement by which he gives the land necessary for the execution of the work that, according to the forecasts of Valverde, will start in October and will have a deadline of one month.
