Ceuta strings a new month drop in unemployment in November positioned so that the rate of decline in unemployment in the last year in the 5'17%.
According to these statistics published by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, the number of unemployed in the city has now reached 1,136, a contingent that has also experienced a decline from October 1.47%, five times the average National (0.32%) and nearly three times compared to the regional index (0.58%).
By age segments, the decrease in the annual rate of unemployment in Ceuta has been more significant in the strip between 40 and 44 years (22'86%), five times the overall rate of unemployment in the town.
The descent is also significant in the groups of 35-39 years (11'47%), 20-24 years (10'31%), 30-34 years (9'36%) and 25-29 years (9'17 %).
In terms of gender, the incidence of lower unemployment in the town in the last month has been more intense in the male flat (2.29%), doubling employment generation developed in the female segment, where the fall of unemployment was almost half that of men (1.25%).
On the road to recovery
"We're getting to consolidate the positive rate of job creation that has been experiencing since several months ago and that goal from the Consistory are putting all our capabilities and resources," says Councilman ceutiense Employment, Juan Lorente.
"The revitalization driven in our town is having a definite reflection in terms of employment generation. Although not about figures still satisfy us, remain symptomatic of the new scenario in which we find ourselves, in conjunction with other favorable indicators the pace of economic development of the locality, confirming that Ceuta is steadily on the desirable path to recovery, "said the mayor.
