Civil Protection of Ceuta asks the local PSOE not use the name of it for partisan purposes (07/11/2013)

The Association of Civil Protection Volunteers of Ceuta has approached the local council to apply for protection for certain critical local PSOE and the use made in a recent pamphlet distributed to the residents of the village of the name of this association volunteers to attack another political choice and the municipal government.

Faced with this unpleasant situation of Ceuta Civil Protection wishes to state:

- That no member uses the material of this association for private purposes, the human and material resources of this association are used exclusively for service to Ceuta and ceutienses, being members of the association, together with the local police, the first and basic emergency response in our village.

- The Nissan Patrol vehicle and motorcycle used for many services that Civil Defence volunteers selflessly provide Ceuta everyone who requests your help, are the property of the association, not the City Council, and from donations made by residents of our town.

His guardianship and custody is the responsibility of members of Civil Protection of Ceuta, which for reasons of operational security and park them where they deem it appropriate.

- That the reason that the vehicle is often in the area of Cabezo Vistalegre is because one of the members of this association, volunteer specialist Civil Protection floods and one of those responsible for the vehicle, live in Loma Vistalegre Cabezo , and his house is altruistically donated and used as forward command post for its exceptional location as a watchman on the Safe and groves of Ceuta and Los Torraos when preemergence phase begins Inunmur Plan, which in this 2013 has happened on several occasions.

Also, members of Civil Protection of Ceuta, whose sole purpose as a public service is to prevent collective risk situations or disasters, protect people and property when these situations occur and contribute to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected areas frequently monitor and patrol all areas with potential risk, among which is located across the right bank of the River Segura, the Rambla de Huete and heavy rains flooded areas by the urban and industrial areas of Ceuta.

Therefore, regrets Civil Protection:

- The PSOE try to defame the members of this association, accusing them of using the media for particular purposes of this association.

- That while the PSOE ruled Ceuta, their representatives had no major objection to this association volunteers use their own cars and material resources when cooperating with the City Council, Local Police and Civil Guard performances both preventive and public order something that often continue to Civil Protection Volunteers of Ceuta.

- The local PSOE has not been addressed directly to the association for informal as expected from the many important preventive and emergency actions for the common good of all residents of Ceuta.

Finally, ask Ceuti Civil Protection:

- The local PSOE never use more the name of this association for political purposes, as it is a non-profit public service for all residents of Ceuta.

- The PSOE rectify the insinuations about the members of this association, whose only encouragement is to work for Ceuta and its people so altruistic without any financial compensation.

- The local PSOE instead of false accusations through their pamphlets, dedicate their efforts in helping the association to the extent of its possibilities and responsibilities to residents of Ceuta, recipients of the volunteer efforts Civil Protection made and continue to be made for the good of our people.
