The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, met today with the mayor of Ceutí, Juan Felipe Cano, to analyze the state of social services of the municipality.

At the meeting, the counselor informed her that the Instituto Murciano de Acción Social (IMAS) financed a total of 102 public places for the care of the elderly in the municipality for 1,077,000 euros.

Fifteen of these places are located in the residence Social Management Ceutí, 81 to the residence San Pablo and 6 to the Day Center for seniors.

Violante Tomás also dealt with the first edil the different programs that the Community develops in coordination with the municipality, among them projects of support to the families, actions of fight against the poverty and improvement of attention to the groups of more vulnerable people, as well as Programs of accompaniment and social work.

Projects are also carried out aimed at improving employability, socio-labor insertion and reconciliation of work and family life.

In 2016, with funding from the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, Ceutí financed three direct grant projects worth more than 20,000 euros.

One of them, under the heading of 'Aid of urgent need', is aimed at alleviating and improving the situation of social vulnerability of families with children under their care, covering basic needs, amounting to 10,453 euros.

Another project is the 'Morning Conciliation in Schools', framed within the typology of projects to support family and work reconciliation for families in processes of socio-labor insertion with children in charge, for more than 3,500 euros.

The third of the projects is the 'Social Educator', for the intervention and social-family orientation, family mediation, points of family encounter or socioeducative attention of minors, for 6,400 euros.

The Minister also informed the mayor that the budgets of the Community for 2017 have a game to support with 127,715 euros Social Services Primary Care of this City.

Violante Tomás also pledged to maintain this year the assistance of conciliation of the working life for families of this municipality, for the amount of 5,780 euros.
