The Minister of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, accompanied by the mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano, visited today the new playground located in the hamlet of Los Torraos, Ceuta, which together with the renewal of street lighting in green areas (four squares and two parks) and bike lane, and the installation of four outdoor gym equipment along the same, has been made with a contribution from the Autonomous Community of 144,000 euros, corresponding to the Works and Services Plan.
Rivera stressed that the Works and Services Plan caters to "small actions that directly influence the day to day and the well-being of the residents, with an investment that the municipalities, in many cases, could not face alone, and that in the case of the playground, it procures new equipment in an area where none of this type existed. "
Rivera recalled that the 2017 Plan has financed 65 works in the 41 municipalities of less than 50,000 inhabitants for the amount of 7.8 million euros, and announced that the 2018-2019 Plan will mean an investment of more than 250,000 euros for Ceutí, that will be applied to continue with the extension of the bike path and the improvements of pavement and equipment in several streets and green areas of the municipality.
